One year ago today, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, George Floyd died while in police custody. The incident sparked out rage all across the world, especially here in America. Instantly protests popped up across America. While most protests were peaceful, some turned into riots. I visited with multiple people at a Denver protest, which later in the night went awry. I wanted to look back at the reaction to Floyd’s death, so I discuss the issue in the Birds eye view below.
Being able to listen to the opinions and emotions of protesters was humbling. Though I was able to show you a sliver of my interviews and coverage of the Denver protest, I wanted to include the rest. Be sure to check those videos out below.
It was a saddening, yet incredible experience. A very unique view of civil unrest, that at times turns violent. Here we are a year later. Many are still outraged, we’re still going through COVID, there is a new President, but I am curios to see where we are on May 25, 2022. Where do you think our country will be in a year?
