Phoenix Rising In America!

When Your Life Calling Knocks in the Dark

I began my reporting career almost 6 years ago because the 2016 elections both excited me and confused me. Debates were awesome, but how the same story could be covered in an opposite manner(e.g., big/small crowd) on 2 different networks made no sense.  The division this was causing in America was not healthy and suddenly, jumping up and down in front of my face, I realized my calling.

My goal has been to learn and report how fellow Americans feel about the state of our country. Traveling over 100,000 miles through many states and covering events such as protests, conferences, rallies, etc… I have heard many different viewpoints. As a kid, sometimes people have been more open in sharing what they think. When I interview people with political power such as Congressmen, I often close by asking ‘How can young Americans help heal our nation.’ This site is dedicated to bring all this research together in one place where others can LIVE the experiences I have had…not just by reading words, but by seeing, hearing, and feeling first hand the various cultures and perspectives within our own border.

Hopefully we all can learn to understand and care about others that might have different viewpoints from their own. Also known as ‘civil disagreement’…which would be nice at a time when we seem to be at the edge of an ‘Uncivil War.’

Please remember…disagreement does not equal rejection. Disagreement fosters ideas, growth and tolerance of differing experiences.

Thank you to all who have supported me and contributed to the content on this site!
