Some of the issues he discussed were the privatization of Prisons, the demilitarizing of the police, politicians in Washington, the Bible and more. I have seen Julian Castro on the campaign trail for the Democrats multiple times in Georgia. I wonder if him being here is an effort to keep the Latino vote as it slowly drifts Republican.
Throughout the elections, I have seen that the Democratic party is focused on the importance of ethnic diversity. An observation that I made was that at this event, which was geared towards youth organizers, there were no Caucasians.
