So as you have probably heard, Joe Biden is now President Elect. It’s not completely over though. There are lawsuits made by the Trump Campaign in key states such as Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Nevada. There is probably a small chance that these legal battles will keep Trump in the White House, but that won’t stop the Trump campaign from trying. I also am not saying it is impossible for him to keep the Presidency.
I really don’t have a political preference; I am completely neutral. What I worry about is not who will win, but how the integrity of our election is viewed. What I mean is that no matter who wins, I want Americans on both sides to feel there was a free and fair election. I hope this elections brings us together, not divide us. If doing a recount reassures Americans that our elections are honest, I’m all for it.
I remember back in 2016 I expected Americans to come together after the election. I thought we could recognize our differences, then get back to just being Americans. I was wrong then, but I hope we can unite this time.
