The moment we have all been waiting for…two old men yelling at each other (with all due respect)

Often I am asked what initiated my interest in politics. Simply put, the answer is the 2016 primary debates! I loved them and there was nothing better than sitting on the couch, eating popcorn and watching the debates. This year I am just as excited. The only difference in 2020, is my snack of choice…Cornpop! (if that confuses you, search ‘Biden Corn Pop’)

It is crazy to think how much has changed since 2016, let alone in 2020 so far! This year we have had the Corona Virus, George Floyd, Black Lives Matter and of course the election.

Last night I was able to listen live to a focus group of undecided voters held by pollster Frank Luntz (thank you Mr. Luntz for the invitation!). It seemed that the panelists felt like the candidates interrupted each other, Trump in particular. If Joe Biden’s weakness is his gaffes, should Trump be silent and just let them come out? I personally would like to see less interrupting and talking over each other. Americans need the chance to make informed votes.

I spoke with protesters who were at a park near the debates about their thoughts. Here are those interviews.

After the calls for police reform, one thing that was discussed was having social workers respond to some calls. So, who better to ask about the idea than social workers who work with the Cleveland Police Department!?!

I was able to speak with Donald Trump Jr. about the debate! Here’s that quick response from an insiders perspective(thank you to Mr. Trump Jr. for stopping his motorcade and making time to speak with me!!!).

Wow! This has been a fun last couple of days. I can’t wait for the next debate! I love to see what my fellow Americans think, so now it is time to hit the road and maybe even run into you out there.
