Iowa Caucus, the most wonderful time of every four years!

It feels like the last few months of covering campaign events has been Christmas Eve, I am happy to say it is finally Christmas. The Caucus’s are here!!!!!!! I have been waiting for this moment, when we can figure out who will take home the trophy of winning the Iowa Caucus, sadly we have not figured out who won. Due to the fact that a Caucus app malfunctioned.

I covered the Caucus live from Ankney, Iowa. There were more than 500 people attended and the viability threshold was 79. So if your candidate didn’t reach the 15%/79 in support, you can choose a backup candidate. It was so neat seeing supporters of their candidates trying to convince others who’s candidate didn’t make it to come to support them. Biden did not meet that threshold at first, but I’ll talk more about that later.

I had predicted earlier that night that Pete Buttigieg would get first, Bernie Sanders would get second, and Elizabeth Warren would get third. I was right! Pete got 190 votes, Bernie 120 and Warren 111. As for Biden in the end he barely hung on by getting 80 votes! The viability threshold was 79!!!

It was a very exciting night and I can not wait to hear the results! My overall prediction is that Pete and Bernie in the top two, with Biden and Warren sharing 3rd and 4th. Through out my travels I have noticed Pete has a very organized campaign, which I think helped him in the end.

Here are the interviews with Caucus goers!
